Singapore Airlines offers Net promotional fares to Bangkok

Return economy class ticket from Chennai to cost Rs.6,999

CHENNAI: Singapore Airlines has announced special Internet promotional fares to Bangkok.

By booking online at singaporeair.com, travellers can purchase a return economy class ticket to Bangkok from Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar and Ahmedabad for Rs.8,999. From Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata, the fare will be Rs.6,999. The fares do not include taxes and surcharges. The offer is available for purchase of tickets from March 13 to 25 and for travel outbound by April 15. It is subject to availability of seats.

Customers can buy the tickets themselves on the Net or through their travel agent, using a credit card.

B.K. Ong, general manager, India, Singapore Airlines, said: "In an era of technological advancements, we need to provide an additional channel for customers to make their purchases as some may find it more convenient to use the Internet to make their bookings... "

The offer is valid for travel on any SIA flight to and from Bangkok through Singapore from all India gateways. Stopover in Singapore is not permitted.

Singapore Airlines operates 47 weekly flights to eight Indian destinations: twice-daily flights to Mumbai; daily services to Delhi and Chennai; five times a week to Bangalore; four times a week to Kolkata and Hyderabad; and thrice a week each to Ahmedabad and Amritsar.

Its subsidiary regional airline, SilkAir, operates five services to Kochi and three to Thiruvananthapuram.
